Thirty-one people (23 women and 8 men) were hospitalized at the Emergency Department of Goychay District Central Hospital at around 15:30 on August 20, 2026, in connection with the poisoning incident in Ismayilli, TABIB said in response to APA's inquiry.
The condition of the patients who received the necessary medical care was assessed as satisfactory. They were discharged for outpatient treatment.

Specialists from the Food Safety Agency, together with employees of the relevant authorities, have launched an investigation into a poisoning incident in Ismayilli, APA reports, citing the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (AFSA)
The preliminary investigation found that the incident occurred at a wedding ceremony held in a private yard in Hajihatamli village of Ismayilli district.
Twenty-four people were admitted to Goychay District Central Hospital with a diagnosis of poisoning. The patients are currently in good condition. They were discharged after receiving initial medical assistance. Agency employees collected samples for examination. Measures will be taken in accordance with the results of the investigation.
