Water flow from Samur-Absheron channel to Siyazan Lake has been stopped, Intensive searching operations were carried out in that lake today. Personal delegation of police departments of Devechi and Siyazan regions were involved to the searching.
Siyazan Prosecutor Hasan Hanifayev told the APA’s local bureau, though the searching operations have not yet given any result, searching will be held in Jeyranbatan direction of Samur-Absheron channel.
Deputy chief of Siyazan police department Khanlar Vahabzadeh told the APA, searching brigade was sent to Caspian direction of the channel.
The water of Siyazan lake was emptied entirely. Therefore, landslide occurred in 21-meter depth lake. The observation was held where the water of the lake pours to Caspian Sea. The inspector of Investigation Office of Court of Grave Crimes of Republic Prosecutor’s Office arrived in searching area in the evening. But searching operations and observations did not give any result.
Siyazan Prosecutor Hasan Hanifayev told the journalists the searching operations will be continued.
One of the murdered sisters, Naile Majidova’s body was found in Samur-Absheron channel, in Siyazan on August 9. Criminal case against detained suspect Tevekkul Ismayilov on the murder of residents of Dag Biliji village of Devechi region, Naile and Reyhane Majidova sisters under article 120 (premeditated murder) of Criminal Code is being investigated. /APA/
