Baku Main Police Office told APA that 7501 of them were less dangerous crimes, 968 were grave crimes. As a result of the preventive measures, the number of grave crimes reduced by 170 facts, crimes against person by 127 facts, auto thefts by 15 facts compared to the previous year. All of the premeditated murders were solved.
Baku police exposed 50 criminal groups consisting of 106 people over 61 robberies, and 21 groups consisting of 48 people over 33 burglaries.
584 out of 940 wanted persons were detained. 138kg drugs were removed from illicit turnover, 947 drug-related facts were revealed.
The maintenance of public order was under serious control in the capital in the nine months of 2011. Unauthorized rallies were prevented, exemplary public order was ensured during the events and ceremonies held in the capital.
