Azerbaijanâ€™s Minister of National Security reveals 13 drug traffickers and seizes more than 15 kg drugs

Baku â€“ APA. 13 people, who were accused of drug smuggling and drug trafficking were revealed and more than 15 kg drug was seized as a result of recent operational measures carried out by the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan. APA was told at the ministryâ€™s Public Relations Center that Azerbaijani citizens â€“ Panahaliyev Bakhtiyar Khangulu, Mammadov Mais Kitabeli and Azizov Namig Amir were detained and about 8 kg hashish and heroin was found near them and in their houses.

It was revealed that Bakhtiyar Panahaliyev, Mais Mammadov and Namig Azizov, as well as the citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran, whose identities are being investigated, smuggled a large lot of drug from Iran to Azerbaijan.

As a result of the other operational measures, Azerbaijani citizen Bakhshaliyev Rifaddin Nadir was detained in Baku and about 1 kg heroin was found in his car.

As a result of operational measures carried out jointly by the Ministry of National Security, Russiaâ€™s Federal Drug Control Service, Ukrainian and Belarusian intelligence agencies, Georgian citizens D.E. Huseynov, E.B. Jalilov and Russian citizen E.I.Piriyev were detained in Krasnoyarsk city of Russia, 3 kg hashish were seized from them. Those drugs were sent to Turkey via cargo company by smuggling routes, then to Ukraine and then to Russiaâ€™s Krasnoyarsk city through transit from the territory of Belarus.

The criminal cases were launched into all the facts.
