Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Etibar Mirzayev said at the briefing that there is a great probability that the cases of carbon monoxide poisoning will increase in connection with the upcoming winter.
â€œI address the people to say that the use of improper electric appliances and ovens may result in the loss of your family members and fire in your houses. The people must be very cautious while using such appliances.â€

Etibar Mirzayev said one of the serious problems is the run-down state of air pits in the multistory buildings.
â€œSome of these buildings are private, some others are under the authority of executive bodies. The pits in private houses must be cleaned at the expenses of the companies that constructed the building, in the buildings, which are in balance of executive bodies, housing department, the pits must be cleaned by these bodies.â€

According to Deputy Minister, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has started raising awareness in the region.
â€œVideo clips have been prepared to raise awareness. But awareness raising activities must be carried out not only by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, but also by the educational institutions and local executive authorities,â€ he said.
