Ramil Usubov meets with Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble

Baku – APA. Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov met with Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA that reminding about the close cooperation between Azerbaijan and International Police Organization, Ramil Usubov noted that globalization of the world, increasing integration opportunities cause different threats and make the crime control and combat against the organized transnational crime urgent. Azerbaijan attaches special importance to the cooperation with Interpol and is interested in further development of this cooperation. One of the directions of cooperation is declaring suspect or missing people wanted. Every year Interpol detects 60-70 such people and hands over them to justice. Minister said Azerbaijan was integrating into the world with confidence and as a sovereign and legal nation, observing democratic principles and commitments in the field of human rights and freedoms, as well as crime control. It was emphasized at the meeting that the meeting between President Ilham Aliyev and Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble and exchange of opinions will contribute to deepening of relations with Interpol.
Noble said Interpol’s National Central Bureau in Azerbaijan organized its activity in accordance with the topical requirements and Azerbaijan is one of the first ten countries implementing secure global police communication services in the world.
