Sentence passed on Shirvan residents murdering Azerbaijani drug lord living in Denmark

Sentence has been passed over accused people - Mammadov Erestun Telman and Idrisova Elmira Aghabala, at the court presided over by Judge Ilham Mahmoudov. According to adjudicature, Mammadov was sentenced to 15 years in prison, Idrisova to 14 years.

On April 25, 2010, residents of Shirvan cityâ€™s Chilpagli settlement â€“ Mammadov Erestun Telman, born in 1986 and Idrisova Elmira Aghabala, born in 1978 killed Khanlari Jahangir Mahammadalirza, born in 1974, living on Javadov Street, house #41.

The investigation revealed that Idrisova and killed Khanlari were for a long time in informal marriage. After his release, former prisoner Khanlari, 36, became in a short time into a drug lord having an international status. He left the country after declaring as wanted. He lived in Denmark for a long time. Though he visited fatherland very rarely, Khanlari always kept Idrisova under surveillance. Rumours on Idrisova in Shirvan caused his return to homeland after long time on April 23. After the talk with Idrisova Jahangir said that he would kill the two lovers. Hereupon, Mammadov and Idrisova decided to murder Jahangir.

Note that, accused people faced charges under articles 120.2.1(deliberate murder committed by group of persons, on preliminary arrangement by group of persons, by organized group or criminal community (organization)) of the Penal Code of Azerbaijan.
