Rashid Aliyev: â€œIranian ambassador to Azerbaijan told me not to do anything wrong to take me again to prisonâ€

According to APA, Aliyev said he would demand compensation from Iran and Sazan Electronic Industry Company for his illegal detention in Iran for two years. He said despite he was released his official documents are still kept in Iran. He asked this country several times to return his documents, but there is no answer yet. â€œI asked the Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan and said that I left my documents in Iran. He said that my actions could have negative impact on the relations between the two countries. Donâ€™t do anything wrong that we detain you again and return to prisonâ€. Aliyev said if he received compensation from Iran he would spend a part of this money for the political prisoners in that country.

Aliyevâ€™s lawyer Aslan Ismayilov said Iran violated human rights and didnâ€™t respect international law. â€œI was in Iran and I know how difficult, even impossible to protect the human rights there. Iran doesnâ€™t observe the norms of international law. We will appeal to the UN Human Rights Committee. Even if it approves our complaint, it will be difficult to receive compensation from this countryâ€.

Ismayilov also recommended to the people, who want to live and to create, not to visit Iran, because it is very dangerous country. Anyone could be arrested there for nothing and no one could be responsible for his fateâ€.

Rashid Aliyev, the leading engineer of the lab of Physical Problems Institute of Baku State University, worked in Sazan Electronics Industry Company in 2006-2008 at the invitation of the company and within the framework of the contract signed by consent of Baku State University. He worked in Semnan city of Iran and led the first installation and exploitation of automatic program controlled technological laser system, preparation of perfect experience for modern laser systems and test stand.

The company offered permanent job to Aliyev for many times, but he didnâ€™t accept it and returned to Azerbaijan. Rashid Aliyev last returned to Iran on October 5 after insistent invitation by the companyâ€™s director Abbas Eftekhari. On October 6, he was arrested under the pretext of visa problem.

The scientist was released from jail on August 11, 2010 and returned to Azerbaijan on August 12.
