On the occasion of International Day of Elderly People officials of Ombudsman Office visit veterans and disabled workers in Bilgah pension

Baku - APA. By order of the Commissioner for Human Rights, on the occasion of October 1 - International Day of Elderly People officials of Ombudsman Office visited the pension for veterans and disabled workers in Bilgah and met with residents, press service of the Ombudsman Office told APA. Currently, 150 elderly people live at the pension.
The officials inspected the pension, learnt about living conditions, health, treatment, nourishment of elderly people, determined that the building need capital repair.

Chain of events were continued at the Resource Center for Elderly People with approximately 100 elderly people attached to the Azerbaijan Center Woman and Development, as well as lonely old people, refugees, IDPs and martyr mothers.

It was noted that disinterested legal, medical and psychological support were given to elderly people at the Resource Center established in 2001 by Elmira Suleymanova. Well-known medical specialist, Professor Sudeyif Imamverdiyev attended the event.
