Baku Main Police Office: 1569 crimes were recorded in Baku in the first two months of this year

It was said that the number of the crimes recorded in the first two months of this year is 4.9 percent more compared with the reporting period of last year. Solution of crimes increased. It made up 65 percent last year, 69 percent this year. The number of premeditated murders, kidnapping, raping has reduced compared with the reporting period of last year, the percentage of solution was stable, 100 percent.
Compared with the reporting period of last year the number of the crimes against property increased from 522 to 581, 11.3 percent. Solution of the crimes increased by 12 percent and made up 49.8 percent.

He said the number of economic crimes such as making, selling counterfeit money and securities was stable compared with the reporting period of last year. The crimes such as taking persons hostage, banditry were not recorded in the first two months of 2010 at all.

The crimes related to narcotics increased compared with the reporting period (290 and 245), the percentage of solution remained high (88 and 87). The solution of the crimes related to the sale of narcotics increased by 15 percent. 33.3kg narcotics was removed from illicit turnover in the two months of this year, this is 30 percent more compared with the reporting period of last year.

The violation of traffic rules and operation of transport vehicles increased by 15 percent compared with reporting period of last year. The number of deaths rose from 41 to 52.
