Head of investigative group: â€œNecessary measures will be taken against some commanders of 366th regiment for their crimes against Azerbaijanisâ€

The courts passed decisions in absentia about them and asked the Interpolâ€™s bureau in Azerbaijan to declare them internationally wanted, head of the joint investigative operational group Mehman Poladov, APA reports. He said commanders of the Russian 366th regiment were also among the internally wanted persons. â€œThere are both Russians and Armenians among them. The investigative group is collecting now their photos and personal detailsâ€.

He said crimes of some 366th regiment commanders against Azerbaijanis were proved. â€œNecessary measures will be taken against those persons in near future. We asked the Russian, Kazakh and Uzbek prosecutorâ€™s offices for appropriate legal assistanceâ€.

Poladov said it started with the Garadaghli genocide and led to Khojaly. The court passed decision on bringing 6 persons to justice for Garadaghli genocide and appropriate documents were submitted for declaring them internationally wanted.

He said the decision was passed for bringing 38 persons to justice for Khojaly genocide and they were declared internationally wanted. The operational work is continued.
