Justice and Police minister of Norway visits Azerbaijan

Baku. Hafiz Haydarov - APA. Justice and Police Minister of Norway Kingdom led by Knut Storberget arrived in Azerbaijan at the invitation of Azerbaijani Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov. Justice Ministryâ€™s press service told APA. Today Norwegian Minister visited Haydar Aliyevâ€™s grave in the Alley of Honor and Martyrsâ€™ Alley. Then, Storberget met with Justice Minister, chief of Judicial Council Fikrat Mammadov.

Noting the friendly and cooperation relations between Azerbaijan and Norway, Mammadov told that there are big perspectives for further expansion of relations between justice ministries of the two countries. Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Storberget highly estimated the achievements gained in court and justice, as well as in jail systems.
He also touched upon several issues of primary significance such as elimination of density in jails and use of alternative methods instead of the arrest.
The Norwegian delegation visited Haydar Aliyev and Justice museums, expeditions dedicated to Azerbaijan-Norway relations.

Norwegian ambassador to Azerbaijan also attended the meeting.

Then Norway Minister visited Baku detention facilities in order to acquaint himself with the reforms carried out in this sphere.
