Malena Mard: "The European Union is satisfied with the development of trade relations with Azerbaijan"

Anakhanum Hidayatova - APA. “The European Union is satisfied with the development of trade relations with Azerbaijan,” said Head of EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Malena Mard in the opening ceremony of Twinning project on “Support for the Development of a Modern System of Standardization and Technical Regulations in Azerbaijan”, APA reports.

Malena Mard stressed the importance of further enhancing the EU-Azerbaijan trade relations and said that technical standardization is very important for the development of these relations.

The diplomat underlined that a new standardization system will create new opportunities for the enhancement of trade ties in Azerbaijan.

Attending the ceremony, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Irfan Siddiq said that the EU and Azerbaijan are cooperating in many spheres. “Twinning project provides an opportunity for closer cooperation. The goal is increasing the quality of standards and paving a way for Azerbaijan’s integration into the world economy.”
