Baku. Real Jafarli – APA. “The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran are neighboring, friendly and fraternal countries sharing a common religion. Friendly relations between Iran and neighboring Azerbaijan would benefit the two nations as well as regional stability,” said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the joint press conference with Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, APA reports quoting the Iranian President’s official website.
The Iranian President said they exchanged views on the discussions on the Caspian Sea’s legal status and cooperation in this sphere: “Both sides think that the adoption of the final decision on this matter will not have to wait long. We have common views on cooperation within international organizations. President Aliyev also stressed Iran’s legitimate nuclear rights during the bilateral talks. We are ready to help solve regional problems including that of the Karabakh region within the frameworks of international laws and justice. No change will be acceptable in regional geopolitics. All must help settle disagreements through diplomatic and peaceful ways. I’m grateful to President Aliyev for his invitation to Azerbaijan. Insha'Allah, I hope to visit the friendly and fraternal Azerbaijan at the earliest opportunity.”
