France strongly condemns the large-scale attacks launched by Russia on the night of November 13-14, primarily targeting Ukraine's capital Kyiv, including the Azerbaijani embassy, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, APA reports.
"France unequivocally condemns the large-scale airstrikes that took place during the night of November 13-14, which primarily targeted Kyiv, Ukraine’s energy facilities, residential areas, the Azerbaijani embassy, and a hospital, resulting in numerous fatalities and injuries, including among children," the statement read.
It was noted that approximately 430 drones and 18 missiles were involved in these large-scale strikes, which further escalate the situation and, if additional evidence is needed, demonstrate that Russia has no intention of seeking peace.
"France expresses full solidarity with Ukraine, its people, and authorities, as well as with the staff of the Azerbaijani embassy. It reaffirms its unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. France, together with all its partners, will continue to strengthen its support for Ukraine and intensify pressure on Russia to end the war," the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs added.
Note that as a result of the recent explosion, a part of the embassy’s fence was completely destroyed, structures, service vehicles, the administrative building, and the embassy's consular section were damaged, and significant harm was caused to the embassy's premises. Fortunately, this strike did not result in any loss of life.
