Vasiliy Istratov: â€œNo mass flow of Russians from Azerbaijan to Russia is seenâ€

According to APA, the ambassador, speaking about the Gaspromâ€™s negotiations with Azerbaijani officials said that the company intended to purchase natural gas form Azerbaijan at European prices and to sign long-term contract for that. â€œAzerbaijan should make decisionâ€. Responding the questions whether Russia demands Armenia to withdraw its troops from the Azerbaijanâ€™s territories or not, the diplomat said he had no information about it. Istratov, touching upon the problems of Russian citizens lived in Khrakhoba and Uryanoba villages of Azerbaijanâ€™s Khachmaz Region said this issue should find its solution without strict decisions. The ambassador said there is no mass flow of Russians from Azerbaijan to Russia and only tens of people moved to Russia within the program of â€œReturning of compatriotsâ€. Istratov spoke about his visits to the Azerbaijanâ€™s regions and said centers of Russian literatures would be established in Ganja, Lankaran, Shaki and Nakhchivan in the next few months. He expressed satisfaction with the high interest to the Russian language in Azerbaijan. The ambassador said he had no information about the re-starting of negotiations on the mutual broadcasting.
