Retrospective of Polish Director Krzysztof Zanussiâ€™s films opened in Baku

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova â€“APA. Retrospective of Polish Film Director Krzysztof Zanussiâ€™s films has been opened in Baku within the 10th East-West International film festival. The first film in the retrospective is â€œPersona Non Grataâ€ directed by Zanussi three years ago, APA reports. The filmmaker spoke about the plotline of the film and said it had autobiographic character and was closer to him mostly. Zanussi said he made film in 2005 in Poland, Moscow and Uruguay. Chairman of Azerbaijan Cinematographers Union and festivalâ€™s organizing committee Rustam Ibrahimbeyov rewarded Zanussi for his contribution to the development of Eurasian cinematograph. The retrospective of Zanussiâ€™s â€œIn Full Gallopâ€ and â€œCamouflageâ€ will be organized held on June 3-4.
Round table entitled â€œNational cinematograph and film distribution: problems and prospectsâ€ has been held on Monday in Absheron Hotel within the 10th East-West International Film Festival. â€œRussian Rouletteâ€ (Russia) is shown now in â€œAzerbaijanâ€ cinema house. â€œLa Vie En Roseâ€ (France) will be shown this evening.
