First Azerbaijani Citizen to Attend the U.S. Military Academy

Baku. Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. Hussein Panahov is the first Azerbaijani candidate to receive an appointment to attend one of the most prestigious American military academies, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, US Embassy in Azerbaijan told APA. Panahov will study economics at the Military Academy from June 2008 to June 2012. Since its founding two centuries ago, the Military Academy has sought to develop cadets in four critical areas: intellectual, physical, military, and moral-ethical - a four-year process called the "West Point Experience." Cadets learn basic military skills, including leadership, through a demanding military program which begins on their first day at West Point, the embassy sources said.
