Baku. Turan Huseynova –APA. “I hope that upcoming presidential elections will be better than elections in Georgia and Armeniaâ€, Swedish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hans Gunnar Aden told APA.
He expressed his anxiety about boycott of elections by opposition parties. “This can delay development of democracy in the country. Democracy is newly developing in Azerbaijan and it is not real to expect complete just and transparent elections. Freedom of Assembly is very important. If you want to hold free and just elections, you should ensure freedom of assembly for opinions of citizens and opposition partiesâ€, he said.
Mr. Aden noted that he would discuss bilateral relations and visits to be paid out this year.
