Azerbaijani Peopleâ€™s Artist Kamal Khudaverdiyev dies

Representatives of Culture and Tourism Ministries, his friends stood guard in honor of him and stated their opinions on him. They stated that the death of 70-year old actor was a big loss for Azerbaijani theatre. Azerpasha Nematov, Chairman of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan told APA that they had prepared to celebrate the anniversary of the actor in May.
â€œWe knew his illness, but we did not expect such tragic news before his jubilee. Then we will understand loss of valuable actor. We will understand what he did for Azerbaijani Theatre and could do after that. We commemorate Samandar Rzayevâ€, he said. Nematov noted that the jubilee of actor had been postponed. Peopleâ€™s Artist Sayavush Aslan told APA that they had been friends with Khudaverdiyev since youthfulness.
â€œI part with my friend today. I watched his performances when I have not worked in this theatre. He performed King Lear recently. Kamal was an actor of great character. We have lost him early,â€ he said.
He was buried in Gurd Gapisi cemetery in accordance with his familyâ€™s desire.
