Alan Vaddams submitted copy of credentials to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister

Elmar Mammadyarov, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan has today met with Ambassador Alan Vaddams, head of the European Commissionâ€™s Representation to Azerbaijan, Press-Service of the Foreign Ministry told APA. Submitting the copy of his credentials at the beginning, Ambassador Vaddams expressed his satisfaction with the appointment. He said Azerbaijan had wide development prospects and the European Union would develop the work on joint economic, transport, communication and other projects. Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said that Azerbaijan would direct its efforts toward the development and strengthening of relations with EU within the framework of Neighborhood Policy. Speaking about the energy cooperation and competitiveness in the energy market, the minister underlined the necessity of united position in the EU energy policy and said Azerbaijan could contribute to the development of relations between EU and Central Asia. Other issues of mutual concern have also been discussed at the meeting.
