The British Council Azerbaijan introduce new director

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“APA. A new director of the British Council Baku Office has been introduced to the community. According to APA, newly-appointed Nicole de la Louviere is the British Councilâ€™s for development and education program manager in China at present. British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Caroline Brown thanked outgoing director Andy Williams for his three-year activity in Azerbaijan and said he had carried out a successful work toward the Peaceful Program and London Olympics-2012. The Ambassador congratulated Nicole de la Louviere on her new appointment and wished her success. Andy Williams, leaving for his new appointment in Poland, said he enjoyed with his activity in Azerbaijan. He called British Council a bridge of culture, art, science and education between Great Britain and Azerbaijan. He has forecasted big changes in Azerbaijan in next 5-10 years and said he was enjoying with monitoring this process. Nicole de la Louviere, new director underlined changes in her previous destination in China. â€ I thought that I would take a bit rest in my new destination, but when I arrived in Baku, I saw that huge changes going here. It is really a good chance, because this atmosphere enables us to exchange opinions and to contribute to the changesâ€. She said she would start in Baku in the middle of May. In the end, Azerbaijan-Britain Alumni Association presented a gift to Andy Williams.
