Tajikistan appoints first ambassador to Azerbaijan

APA reports quoting the official website of Tajikistan’s president that Zokir Vazirov has been appointed to this post. Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan told APA that Zokir Vazirov, the first ambassador of the country, will arrive in Baku in a week.
Zokir Vazirov, 60, is a Doctor of Philosophy. He had been Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education and Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population.
Azerbaijan opened its embassy in Tajikistan in summer, 2007 and Maharram Aliyev was appointed head of the diplomatic mission.
