Iranian ambassador: Iran eases visa regime between the two countries

He stated that Iranian government ratified the document on abolishment of visa regime between the two countries 12 years ago.
“Azerbaijan will adopt the document on abolishment of visa regime in expedient time,” he said. Ambassador noted that, though visa regime is not abolished completely, Iran gives free visa for Azerbaijani citizens traveling from border districts and Nakhichevan. He added that Iran gives 6 month-visa or one year-visa to Azerbaijani citizens who visited Iran for trade or medical treatment. “Blood test within visa process is also abolished,” he said. Mr. Nasir touched upon five- side talks on the legal status of Caspian Sea carried out by littoral states.
“There are particular models for the distribution of closed seas like Caspian Sea. The consensus should be achieved among five countries on the settlement of the issue. Each of five countries’ Presidents stated his position on the legal status of Caspian Sea in Tehran summit. The talks on the legal status of Caspian Sea will be solved positively soon.
