Elmar Mammadyarov meets Norwegian Foreign Minister

Norwegian Foreign Ministryâ€™s press service told APA that Elmar Mammadyarov yesterday met the members of foreign affairs committee of Norwegian parliament. Following this, Foreign Minister met Ã…slaug Haga, Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy. The ministers discussed the role of Azerbaijan and Norway in energy security of Europe.
Elmar Mammadyarov today delivered lecture â€œAzerbaijanâ€™s integration into Euro Atlantic structures and the countryâ€™s role in Europeâ€™s energy securityâ€ in the Norwegian Institute for Foreign Policy Studies.
Elmar Mammadyarov also met his Norwegian counterpart Jonas Gar Stere. The ministers underlined the necessity of improving bilateral relations, exchanged views on the development of energy and transport corridors of the region and forthcoming elections.
Azerbaijani minister is planned to meet president of StatoilHydro Company. Following this, the minister will visit Norway oil platform in the North Sea.
Elmar Mammadyarov will return to Baku after having several unofficial meetings in Norway. /APA/
