Azerbaijani Foreign Minister receives ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov today received ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Tadahiro Abe due to his tenure expire, Foreign Ministryâ€™s press service told the APA.
The sides expressing their satisfaction on the great progresses in bilateral relations within past years, noted that friendship relations between the two countries strengthened, mutual understanding and political dialogue developed. They also stressed that opening of Azerbaijani Embassy in Japan, Azerbaijani Presidentâ€™s visit to Japan, visits of senior officials of the opposite sides within this period contributed to cooperation and establishment of Japan-GUAM partnership was important. Ambassador said that post stamps were issued on the 15th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Japan, there are great capabilities for the further development of cooperation in non-oil sector and underlined necessity of increasing activity in this direction. Minister wished success to Japan ambassador at the end of the meeting. /APA/
