Members of Monitoring Group of Human Rights Organizations met with British ambassador to Azerbaijan Caroline Braun today, member of Monitoring Group of Human Rights Organization Saida Gojamanli told the APA.
Saida Gojamanli stated that they exchanged views on the condition of human rights in the country, imprisoned journalists, court hearing on the case of Eynulla Fatullayev, founder and editor-in-chief of “Gundalik Azerbaijan†and “Realniy Azerbaijan†newspapers, political prisoners in the meeting.
“Ms. Braun got interested in rights defenders’ visit to Strasburg. We informed her about it and stressed necessity of fulfilling Azerbaijan’s commitments vis-à -vis Council of Europe,†she said. /APA/
