The diplomat said that after these elections Azerbaijan may gain a number of opportunities as a country with developed democracy. The ambassador regarded Azerbaijan as a young state in transitional period.
“As Azerbaijan is a young state, it has several difficulties. We know that our colleagues in the Council of Europe and OSCE closely cooperate with Azerbaijani government and the organizations participating in the formation of the country’s civil society regarding the elections. We support the efforts of Azerbaijani government and society
to develop the democracy. We believe that using its potential Azerbaijan may become one of the leaders of the region and the world. We should also continue our efforts, so that there may be some changes in the field of democracy in Azerbaijan. The main goal is to ensure transparency in the elections,†the ambassador said. /APA/
