Gudsi Osmanov visits Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug

â€œThere is great potential and desire for mutual cooperation between Azerbaijan Republic and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrugâ€, Consul General Gudsi Osmanov told journalists in the framework of his visit to Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, Azerbaijani consulate in St. Petersburg told APA. He said that the relations between Azerbaijan and the autonomous okrug were established in the 50s of the last century.
â€œAzerbaijan was always interested in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. Azerbaijani oil and gas specialists worked in Yugra beginning from the 50s of the last century. Their number increased in the 90s,â€ he said.
Gudsi Osmanov and representatives of the autonomous okrug talked on extending the bilateral relations. Officials of the autonomous okrug said they are interested in Azerbaijanâ€™s importing fruit and vegetables.
The delegation headed by Gudsi Osmanov will also meet with Federal Migration Service Yugra department chief Mikhail Afonov and head of internal affairs department of the autonomous okrug Nikolay Gudojnikov.
It is not ruled out that Yugra delegation will visit Azerbaijan soon. /APA/
