Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan visits Tovuz

Turkish extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Azerbaijan Huseyn Avni Garsioglu today visited Tovuz region of Azerbaijan at the invitation of Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva, APAâ€™s local bureau reports.
The ambassador met with the head of Tovuz Executive Power Tofig Zeynalov firstly. Azerbaijani MPs Ganira Pashayeva and Nazim Mammadov participated in the meeting.
The head of the region executive power informed the ambassador about the geographical position of Tovuz region, stressed that Turkish businessmen can invest capital here. Ganira Pashayeva said that they achieved agreement on establishing Azerbaijani-Turkish fraternity park in the region when Turan Moral was ambassador, but construction has not yet been started.
She asked Zeynalov to continue this work. The ambassador asked to erect bust of one of Turkish leaders in the park. Zeynalov presented saz to Mr. Garsioglu at the end of the meeting.
The ambassador also visited Aghdam, Alibayli and Hajjali villages of Tovuz which are in border with Armenia and got acquaint with the condition of local residents. /APA/
