ATAA President: Congressâ€™s resolution on the so-called â€œArmenian genocideâ€ will be viewed by the Turkish government as a slap in the face

â€œOur projects on the culture, history of the region helps to expose Armenian lie. These projects also impact on the centers making a resolution. A new group has been hired to augment the existing group to further help in effort of trying to manage misinformation and political bias, normally this helps solve the problem.
Yes the number of members that have withdrawn has now risen to 7 House of Representative members. Withdrawn members are at the bottom of the list. But there a lot of works to be done,â€ she said.
Mr. Ural regards that either resolution should be voted in the Congress or investigated by international mediators.
â€œA better understanding and working towards a solution to this problem, either by a debate facilitated by a group of international mediators at first, than if still not resolved should be at the World Court, in the Netherlands. Education of US Congressional members with historians from both sides of the view should be considered, outside the lobbying process,â€ she said.
â€œThis is the current system where majority rules, majority ruling parties normally will get resolutions passed unless the President Vetoâ€™s the legislation. Political contributions, volunteering and civic involvement with any group will definitely have more chance of getting their issues addressed.
Should the resolution pass with or without Presidential intervention, will be viewed by the Turkish government as a slap in the face. Groups wishing to grow anti-American sentiment within Turkey will definitely seize the moment to promote their own hatred and promote instability within Turkey.
