Turkish community of California holds 10th culture and art festival

Turkish community of California held its 10th culture and art festival in Monterey city, APAâ€™s US bureau reports.
Nearly two thousand local residents attended the festival. Turkish art, its folklore, dances and decorative works have been demonstrated in the festival. National â€œYOREâ€ and old Sufi groupâ€™s performance aroused interest in American auditorium in the festival conducted by Turkish-American Association of California. Azerbaijani Cultural Society in Northern California (ACSNC) is attending this festival for several years. Society members opened exposition on Azerbaijan carpet-making in the festival and got American auditorium got acquainted with the factors reflecting our national music and history. National dancing group composed of Azerbaijani children participated in the festival at the same time. The founder of the society Samir Lutfaliyev told the APA, ACSNC aims to hold Azerbaijani festivals freely in California soon. /APA/
