Azerbaijan was the only CIS state to participate in the festival and was represented by the delegation of 65.
Vocalists, conductors and musicians from 62 countries attended the festival.
Shukufe Alimirzeyeva underlined that the festival was sponsored by 22 popular German companies. Azeri musicians played the works by Uzeyir Hajibeyov, Rauf Hajiyev, Polad Bulbuloglu:†Our orchestra was supposed to participate in Grand final concert. The tickets had been sold a month before†added Shikufe Alimirzeyeva.
