Azerbaijani ambassador to US visits Washington

Azerbaijan is one of the first buyers of Dreamliner 787.
Leading role of Azerbaijan in the region, rapid growth of the countryâ€™s economy and achievements in non-oil sector were debated at the meeting with Scott E. Carson, president and chief executive officer of Boeing.
They underlined that buying the newest Dreamliner 787 aircrafts demonstrates economic growth.
Yashar Aliyev also met with Microsoft Senior Vice President, chief research and strategy officer Craig Mundie. Mundie said that Azerbaijan has become a very important country for information and communication technologies in the world from geographical, strategic and economic aspect. He said that Microsoft is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani ambassador also met with mayor of Seattle Greg Nickels. Mr. Nickels expressed his satisfaction that companies cooperating with Azerbaijan like Boeing and Microsoft are situated in Seattle. He also noted that famous Starbucks and other companies are also situated in this city.
They considered it possible to declare Seattle and Baku as sister cities. /APA/
