Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova meets with Gagauzia leader Mikhail Formuzal

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova Isfendiyar Vahabzadeh visited Gagauzia on May 7, press service of Gagauziaâ€™s leader told the APA.
The ambassador was accompanied by the embassyâ€™s advisor on economic issues Behruz Mammadli and president of Moldova Azerbaijanis Congress Vugar Novruzov.
Isfendiyar Vahabzade met with leader of Gagauzia Mikhail Formuzal. They discussed prospects of bilateral economic, scientific and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and the autonomous region. Mikhail Formuzal expressed confidence that this visit will form a new stage in bilateral relations.
â€œWe especially hope that cooperation in the production of wine will extend and Gagauzian wine will be imported to Azerbaijan. Besides, exploitation of oil and gas fields, cooperation in geological exploration is possible in Gagauzia,â€ he said.
The ambassador said that Gagauzia is an economic partner of Azerbaijan and bilateral relations will further strengthen.
â€œGagauzia and Azerbaijan are connected with the same language and same historical roots. This visit will lay the foundation of mutual cooperation between Gagauzia and Azerbaijan,â€ he said. /APA/
