Baku – APA. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with his German counterpart Guido Westerwelle, on the sidelines of his official visit to Germany.
The press service of MFA told APA that the ministers discussed bilateral relations, the current state of peaceful negotiations towards the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Azerbaijan’s role in the energy security of Europe.
The sides mentioned the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan-Germany diplomatic relations and stressed that mutual prosperous cooperation ties between the states over the past years paved the way for extending cooperation.
Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Germany also discussed the issues on the agenda of the UN Security Council and other issues of mutual interest.
