Today 18-truck aid convoy left for Derbent around 07:40 pm from Bilajary Military Division of the Civil Defense, APA reports.
The commander of civil defense forces, Major-General Ilham Abdullayev noted that a humanitarian convoy is sent on the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev.
The aid convoy, to arrive Derbent tomorrow, is accompanied by 25 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Ilham Abdullayev said that the humanitarian aid consists of 1-truck sugar, 3-truck pasta, 2-truck vegetable oil, 6-truck flour, 2-truck medicine and tea, rice, blankets as well as refrigerators and heaters.
A natural disaster struck Derbent in the night of Oct 9. The disaster claimed lives of 9 in Derbent.
