Baku – APA. The President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent a letter of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Day of Independence. APA reports quoting AZerTac that the letter reads:

“Dear Ilham Heydarovich,
Accept my cordial congratulations on the occasion of the Day of State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Achievements of Your country in economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural spheres are well-known. Azerbaijan enjoys deserved authority on the world arena, plays active role in settlement of pressing questions of the international agenda.
With great satisfaction I note that the Russian-Azerbaijani relations basing on strong traditions of friendship, good neighborhood and mutual respect develop positively. Political dialogue, multi-aspect practical cooperation and partner interaction in regional affairs continuously extend. I am convinced that all this fully answer the interests of the Russian and Azerbaijani people, promotes activation of integration processes within the Commonwealth of Independent States.
I wish you, dear Ilham Heydarovich, robust health, happiness and new successes, and the citizens of republic – well-being and prosperity”.
