Baku – APA. Member of Turkish delegation in Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, former chairman of the PACE Movlud Cavushoglu spoke on Syria-Turkey relations and demanded the Ramil Safarov Case to be submitted for the discussion in PACE, APA reports.

Movlud Cavushoglu said: “If human rights are important for PACE, why doesn’t it focus attention on the occupation of Azerbaijani territory, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the Khojali genocide? “This fact shows that the PACE approach towards these issues is of the double character”.

M. Cavushoglu underlined that the violence committed by Bashar Al-Assad regime against his own citizens. He said that Turkey doesn’t want a war with Syria: “Turkey was bombed, innocent people died, that’s why Turkey gave a relevant response”.

M.Cavughoglu wants democratic elections to be held in Syria.
