French Senate delegation arrives in Azerbaijan

Baku â€“ APA. The delegation of French Senate is on a visit to Azerbaijan. The organizer of the visit , Europe Azerbaijan Society told APA that the delegation led by the co-chair of research group on energy issues of French Senate Ladislas Poniatowski, includes Delphine Bataille, Jan Besson, Christopher-Andre Frassa and Jan-Clod Lenor.

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today welcomed the Senators. They are expected to meet with the chairman of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev, the executive director of the State Oil Fund Shahkmar Movsumov and the vice-president of the State Oil Company Elshad Nasirov. The sides will discuss political, economical, energy, humanitarian and cultural cooperation.

French delegation is expected to meet with the representatives of the French â€œTotalâ€ and UKâ€™s â€œBPâ€ companies on the sidelines of their visit to Sangachal oil terminal.

The visit will finish on October 4.
