Richard Morningstar: â€œWe are interested in increasing the number of the US companies in energy sector in Azerbaijanâ€

Victoria Dementieva â€“ APA. â€œThe US is ready to contribute Azerbaijan for further development of economy and is interested in increasing the number of US companiesÂ», said Richard Morningstar, the US ambassador to Azerbaijan during the annual dinner party for American Trade Chamber, APA reports.

The ambassador spoke about the progress achieved in the economical sphere and stressed the importance of further development of. At the same time he underlined that being an ambassador he always discusses the issue of peaceful solution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict: â€œI know that this problem concerns all Azerbaijanisâ€.

Morningstar said that the US is ready for the diversification of economical sphere and contributing the country in the development of non-oil sector. The ambassador said his country is interested in increasing the number of the US companies in energy sector in Azerbaijan. The ambassador expressed that the US is represented in energy sector of Azerbaijan just by one company: â€œI consider that the work of the US companies in Azerbaijan is worth much for the development of energy sphereâ€.

The ambassador also expressed his assurance that Azerbaijan will be one of the members of the American Trade Chamber soon: â€œBeing a member of this organization and to accept requirements of this company will play into Azerbaijanâ€™s handsâ€.
