Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister: â€œNagrono Karabakh conflict is the main obstacle before Azerbaijan-EU cooperationâ€

He said that international organizations havenâ€™t expressed any distinct position concerning the above mentioned conflict: â€œThought, the European Union had its concrete position concerning other conflicts, it supports the position of OSCE Minsk group co-chairs concerning Azerbaijan and urges them to pass their final decision. Such approaches by EU isnâ€™t enough, because Armenia misusing them to prolong the solution of the conflict. Nagrono Karabakh conflict is the main obstacle before the Azerbaijan-EU cooperation nowâ€.

Deputy Minister sressed that, Azerbaijan doesnâ€™t intend to become a member of the European Union: â€œThe Azerbaijani government will pass the final decision on the issue only afterit transforms the leading and the highest experience of the EU to Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan-EU cooperation started in 1996. The sides have signed several agreements on more than 30 articles. Unfortunately, we havenâ€™t come to a mutual decision concerning Nagorno Karabakh issue yet. We have already presented preliminary version of it, but havenâ€™t received the answer yetâ€.
