Turkmen Foreign Ministry: â€œInformation spread by Russian media about Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan relations is falseâ€

Turkmenistanâ€™s embassy in Azerbaijan told APA that a number of Russian press agencies released information reflecting the hypertrophy idea on probable crisis in the Caspian Sea.

â€œEspecially, â€œReqnumâ€ agency took into consideration the negative evaluation of Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan relations mentioned by Stanislav Pritchiv, the representative of Asia and Caucasus Research Centre of the Russian Scientific Academic Centre at the international conference entitled â€œInternational paradigm in the Caspian Sea: energy, ecology, modernization, securityâ€ held in Kazakhstanâ€™s Aktau city. Turkmen side mentions that the statements made by the above mentioned person contradict the reality. The bilateral cooperation between the states is being developed according to mutual respect and the principles of constructive dialogue. Our relations are based on the historical friendship between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan and the principles of peaceful neighborhood. At the same time, Turkmenistan as an active member of the talks on the Caspian Sea, will stand for the settlement of any issues in accordance with the law-norms and diplomatic methodsâ€.
