Ziyafat Asgarov: â€œThe EP resolution stands against the spirit of our relationsâ€

Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. â€œUnfortunately, neither the Council of Europe, nor European Parliament pay attention towards the separatism and terrorism policy obviously pursued by the Armenian government. But Ramil Safarovâ€™s pardoning that was realized in accordance with international rules and the Azerbaijanâ€™s legislation has irritated European Parliamentâ€, the chairman of Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov told journalists, APA reports.

He mentioned that the EP had condemned the steps made by Azerbaijan, but he also said that the extradition of Ramil Safarov was realized in accordance with the European Convention adopted in 1983: â€œAt the same time, it meets the requirements of the Constitution of Azerbaijan. Thatâ€™s why I consider the EP resolution as unacceptable. There are might be 2 cases. Whether they havenâ€™t yet received the information we sent or the EP members just try to misrepresent it. In any case, such resolution contradicts the spirit of our relations. Their position is against Azerbaijanâ€.

Asgarov said that Azerbaijan has the only way to become more powerful: â€œUnfortunately, the law has no power in the world now, the judge is power itself. Thatâ€™s why we must try to be strongâ€.
