The agenda of the autumn session of PACE to be announced

Baku. Viktoriya Dementyeva –APA. The autumn session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe was announced to be held in Strasburg on October 5. Issues on Russian obligations to the Council of Europe, democracy and human rights in foreign policy of European council member states, definition of the concept of political prisoners( the report has been presented by Christopher Strasser), gender equality in political parties were on the agenda of the session.

On October 5, the member of the Azerbaijani delegation Rafael Huseynov will present report on the topic of “integration and international transparency of European higher education sphere”

The report dedicated to the implementation of Azerbaijani obligations to the Council of Europe wasn’t included to the agenda of the autumn session. The first version of the report had been discussed at the meeting of PACE Monitoring Committee which was held in Paris on September 4, the head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov told APA. PACE monitoring co- reporters Joseph De Bono Grech and Pedro Agramunt is to pay a visit to Azerbaijan for preparation of the final version of the report. They are expected to come in November.

The report on Azerbaijan will also be discussed before January session of PACE, said Samad Seyidov.
