NATO chief makes speech at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku. Viktoriya Dementyeva- APA. NATO Secretary General Anders Fog Rasmussen made a speech at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy. A.F. Rasmussen talked about the activity of the North Atlantic Alliance, NATO’s role in establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan and its struggle against terrorism and piracy threats. He praised Azerbaijan for commitment to NATO-led mission in Afghanistan. The NATO chief told Azerbaijan is a special partner for NATO and that NATO is eager to improve relations with Azerbaijan.

Referring to the impact of regional security and Nagorno Karabakh conflict to the stability in the region, Rasmussen said that NATO supports the efforts of Minsk Group on the solution of the conflict. He added that measures should be taken to ease the tension in the region and to improve partnership.

A.F. Rasmussen also, responded studentâ€™s questions. He praised Azerbaijan for its gifts to the energy security, its efforts on the construction of the new pipeline which will help the diversification of energy resources and will be directed to Europe.

The rector of ADA Hafiz Pashayev also made speech at the meeting.
