Regnum agency: The parade of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces held in summer was more impressive

APA reports quoting Armenian mass media that an incident occurred in the parade. Former presidents Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Robert Kocharian refused to get up on rostrum designated for honorary guests.

Battle units of the Armenian army marched through the central square of Yerevan. Regnum agency analyzed the military vehicles and weapons demonstrated in the parade and came to the conclusion that the parade of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces held in Baku in summer was more impressive. The agency writes that Armenia is especially behind Azerbaijan in the area of air forces.
â€œNo new warplanes were demonstrated. Su-25 planes, Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters flied over the Republic Square. Taking all this into account the regional balance in terms of warplanes is in favor of Azerbaijan.â€

Regnum writes that Su-25 and Mig-29 bought by Azerbaijan recently gives it advantage.
â€œAzerbaijan is still the only country in the region owning fighters.â€
The agency also notes that Russian military base in Armenia has such kind of planes, they protect Armeniaâ€™s air space.

Touching on unmanned aircrafts the agency says Azerbaijan owns reconnaissance planes produced by Israel, the worldâ€™s leader in this sphere, Armenia owns local Krunk unmanned aircrafts.

As regards surface-to-air missiles, Regnum writes that Azerbaijan has advantage in this sphere, too.
â€œThe balance of forces is also in favor of Azerbaijan here, Azerbaijan bought 12 Smerch missiles, it also owns Uragan missiles.â€
