We have abolished visa requirements with 52 countries. In a period of abolishment of visa regime with Russia, it is difficult to explain the reason why Azerbaijan requires visa from Turkish businessmen. Azerbaijan has some hesitations. They told us. But I am very hopeful, we believe that this issue will be solved”, said Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan, who is on a visit to Nakhchivan, to participate in Azerbaijan-Turkey business forum. During a press conference at Duzdag hotel, the minister noted that visa problem was not connected with normalization process of Turkish-Armenian relations. Touching upon Turkish attitude toward this issue, Caglayan said that today Turkey protects and supports Azerbaijan as Ataturk did it in 1921: “We know sensitive issues of Azerbaijan. There was disagreement and provocation in the issue related to Armenia. Our policy is clear. Red lines of the state remain unchanged”.

Remind that, during the meeting with businessmen at Dilucu boundary zone in Sadarak Caglayan said that Turkey would not open borders with Armenia unless Azerbaijani lands are liberated.
