Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade: â€œOur red lines related to Armenia remain unchangedâ€

We have abolished visa requirements with 52 countries. In a period of abolishment of visa regime with Russia, it is difficult to explain the reason why Azerbaijan requires visa from Turkish businessmen. Azerbaijan has some hesitations. They told us. But I am very hopeful, we believe that this issue will be solvedâ€, said Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan, who is on a visit to Nakhchivan, to participate in Azerbaijan-Turkey business forum. During a press conference at Duzdag hotel, the minister noted that visa problem was not connected with normalization process of Turkish-Armenian relations. Touching upon Turkish attitude toward this issue, Caglayan said that today Turkey protects and supports Azerbaijan as Ataturk did it in 1921: â€œWe know sensitive issues of Azerbaijan. There was disagreement and provocation in the issue related to Armenia. Our policy is clear. Red lines of the state remain unchangedâ€.

Remind that, during the meeting with businessmen at Dilucu boundary zone in Sadarak Caglayan said that Turkey would not open borders with Armenia unless Azerbaijani lands are liberated.
