Azerbaijani Foreign Minister comments on changes made to visa regime

Baku. Viktoria Dementyeva â€“ APA. â€œThe changes made to the visa regime will not create problems for the foreign observers,â€ Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told journalists, APA reports.

Minister said the Central Election Commission invites observers to Azerbaijan.
â€œThey can get visa both at the Azerbaijani embassies and at the airport. As an exception only observers will be granted visas at the airport. There will be no problem. Similar rules exist in Europe. Azerbaijan made this change in line with the European standards. This standardization process was also realized in all spheres, ecology, education and concerning oil standards. For example, Azerbaijan joined Bologna process,â€ he said.

At the press conference yesterday PACE observation mission for the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan called on Azerbaijan to eliminate the problem in connection with the visa changes.
