NATOâ€™s new strategic concept discussed at SRC round table - <font color=red> PHOTO</font>

Baku. Victoria Dementieva â€“ APA. A round table entitled â€œNATOâ€™s new strategic conceptâ€ was held at the Strategic Research Center (SRC) under the President of Azerbaijan. According to APA, civil emergency planning counsel of the French permanent representation to NATO Laure Borgomano made a report on the allianceâ€™s new concept, view on the South Caucasus, crisis management and impact of financial crises.

Ms. Borgomano said Euro-Atlantic energy security was very important for NATO. â€œThis issue was included in 1999 concept. We discussed this issue in 2008 too. In this field, NATO can make significant contribution to the infrastructure securityâ€.

Making comments on the South Caucasian ethnic conflicts, the guest said NATO was not interfering in solution of these problems in present phase. â€œAzerbaijan and Armenia never raised an issue to join NATO to the solution of the problem. Therefore it is not a NATOâ€™s matterâ€.
